Founder & Executive Director

Fatumah is the visionary founder of Sky Childcare Uganda. Her inspiration to establish the organization came from her personal experience raising her first-born son, Sky, who was diagnosed with Chromosome Deletion 2Q13 shortly after birth.

Through this journey, she experienced firsthand the emotional and practical challenges faced by parents of children with special needs. While she had access to medical support and guidance in the Netherlands, the experience made her realize that many mothers in Uganda face similar situations without adequate healthcare, training, or support networks.

Driven by compassion and a strong commitment to community service, Fatumah founded Sky Childcare Uganda to ensure that families raising children with special needs receive the knowledge, support, and empowerment needed to improve their quality of life.

As Executive Director, she leads the organization’s strategic vision, partnerships, and program development.
