Who We Are

Sky Childcare Uganda is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children with special needs and their caregivers, while empowering women and girls with the skills and knowledge needed to improve their lives.

Across Uganda, many families raising children with developmental conditions face serious challenges including limited access to therapy, lack of caregiver training, social stigma, and financial hardship. Sky Childcare Uganda works to bridge this gap by providing caregiver training, community support, and economic empowerment programs.

Our work focuses on helping children reach their full potential while strengthening families and building communities that value inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for every child.

We envision a world where every child can flourish regardless of their challenges, where inclusivity is the norm, and where communities come together to ensure that all children have access to the resources and care they need to succeed.

Our Mission

To improve the lives of children with special needs and their families through caregiver support, training, community awareness, and economic empowerment programs.

Our mission is to advocate for these children and their families, providing them with the necessary tools and education to overcome obstacles. We aim to build a robust network of support that empowers not just the children but also the caregivers who are pivotal in their journeys towards independence and success.

Support Children with Special Needs
We provide guidance and resources to help children with special needs grow and improve their wellbeing.

Train Caregivers and Parents
We equip parents with skills to better support children with developmental conditions through workshops.

Empower Mothers Economically
We help mothers gain financial independence through vocational training and entrepreneurship skills.

Provide Life Skills Training for Women and Girls
We offer training to equip women and girls with leadership skills and knowledge to improve their opportunities.

Promote Disability Awareness
We raise awareness about disabilities and foster inclusive environments for children with special needs.
